Terms of Service

Effective: 11 May 2026 · Version: 1.0

These Terms of Service explain who can use Ujyara, what Ujyara will and will not do for you, what you must and must not do, and how disputes are handled. Please read these Terms carefully — they form a binding agreement between you and Gurpraj Systems. We use plain English. If anything is unclear, write to us at support@ujyara.com.

1. Welcome — and how you accept these Terms

In short: By saying AGREE in the welcome flow, or by paying for a feature, or by continuing to use Ujyara after a material update, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Ujyara.

1.1 What these Terms are

These Terms of Service form a legally binding agreement between you (the User) and Gurpraj Systems (a sole proprietorship of Rajinder Singh, registered in Punjab, India). They apply to your use of Ujyara through any channel — including the messaging interface (delivered through WhatsApp and Telegram at launch), the website at ujyara.com, the web application, the progressive web app, and any future channel through which Ujyara is offered.

1.2 How you accept these Terms

When you first interact with Ujyara, we show you a short welcome message that includes links to all five documents that govern your use of the service:

Below the links, we present a four-point declaration:

  1. I am 18 years or older.
  2. I have read and accept these Terms of Service and the Refund Policy (which is incorporated by reference into these Terms).
  3. I understand that Ujyara provides traditional astrological guidance and is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice, as set out in the Astrology Disclaimer.
  4. I consent to the processing of my personal data as described in the Privacy Policy, and acknowledge the Data Deletion Policy describing how I can request deletion of my data.

You accept by replying "AGREE" on the messaging interface, or by ticking each of the four checkboxes and clicking the AGREE button on the web application or PWA. We record the timestamp, your phone number, and the version of these Terms you accepted, so we can demonstrate consent if asked.

You also accept these Terms — and any changes notified under Section 13 — by continuing to use Ujyara after a material update, or by completing a payment for any paid feature.

1.3 If you do not agree

If you do not accept these Terms, please do not use Ujyara. The service requires a "yes" to all four points; we cannot offer the service to you without that consent.

1.4 What's in this document

These Terms cover: who can use Ujyara (Section 4), how AI generates your readings (Section 6), what Ujyara will and will not do for you (Section 7), what you must and must not do (Section 8), payments and refunds (Section 9), our limited liability (Section 15), how disputes are resolved (Section 20), and the Indian laws under which the service operates (Section 21). The Privacy Policy is a separate document; the Refund Policy is also separate.

2. Key terms used in this document

For clarity, when these Terms use the following words, they have the meanings below:

"Ujyara" or "the Service" means the AI-powered Vedic astrology and numerology service offered by Gurpraj Systems through any channel — including but not limited to messaging platforms, web applications, mobile applications, and any other interface — through which the service is made available.

"User" or "you" means the natural person who has accepted these Terms and is using Ujyara services. The User must be the registered account holder. Account sharing is prohibited.

"Personal Data" means any data about an individual who is identifiable by or in relation to such data, as defined in Section 2(t) of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

"Birth Details" means the date, time and place of birth (and, where the feature also requires it, the name and gender) of any person whose astrological or numerological reading is generated through Ujyara.

"Plan" means any tier of Ujyara subscription, currently including the Free Plan, the Basic Plan, the Standard Plan, and the Premium Plan. Plans renew on a recurring billing cycle unless cancelled.

"Purchase" means a one-time per-report purchase or pack-credit purchase, made independently of any Plan. Purchases do not auto-renew.

"Gurpraj Systems", "we", "us", or "our" means the sole proprietorship of Rajinder Singh that operates Ujyara. As Ujyara grows, the legal form of Gurpraj Systems may evolve (for example, by adding partners or converting to a company) — any such change will be notified to you under Section 13.

3. About Ujyara — what the service is, and what it isn't

In short: Ujyara is an AI-powered Vedic astrology and numerology service for adult Indian users only. There are no human astrologers behind any reading.

3.1 Service description

Ujyara is an AI-powered Vedic astrology and numerology service offering personalised astrological guidance — including birth chart (kundali) generation and interpretation, horoscope updates, Match Making compatibility analysis, numerological insights, traditional remedies, auspicious timing (muhurat) suggestions, and personal guidance — through an interactive messaging interface and a web application. All interpretations are generated by advanced artificial intelligence drawing on classical Vedic texts, and are intended for personal reflection, traditional spiritual guidance, and entertainment, not as professional advice.

3.2 No human astrologer

Ujyara is an AI-powered service. It does not connect users with human astrologers. Every reading you receive is generated by AI, drawing on classical Vedic texts. No human astrologer reviews any reading.

3.3 Channels

Ujyara is offered through a messaging interface (delivered through WhatsApp and Telegram at launch), and will be offered through a website at ujyara.com, a web application, and a progressive web app. Your account, reports, and subscription state are stored centrally on Ujyara's own servers, not on any individual messaging platform — and are accessible across all Ujyara channels using your registered Indian mobile number as a common identifier.

We are not liable for service interruptions caused by third-party platforms (such as the messaging platform itself), but will make reasonable efforts to restore service or provide alternative access.

3.4 A domain-specific service, not a general AI assistant

Ujyara is a domain-specific Vedic astrology and numerology service. It is not a general-purpose AI chatbot or conversational AI assistant. Topics outside the scope of Vedic astrology and numerology — including the categories enumerated in Section 8.2 — are outside the service's scope and will not receive astrological responses (see Section 7 and Section 8.2 for the safety reasoning).

3.5 India-only architecture

Ujyara services are offered to users with valid Indian mobile numbers (+91) and Indian-issued payment methods only. Payments are accepted in Indian Rupees (INR) only. By using Ujyara, you confirm that you are accessing the service from within India.

3.6 Use from outside India (NRI carve-out)

Users accessing Ujyara from outside India while holding Indian-issued mobile numbers and payment methods do so at their own discretion and acknowledge that:

(a) the service is governed by Indian law only; (b) the laws and regulations of their country of physical residence do not create obligations for Gurpraj Systems; (c) Gurpraj Systems does not hold licences, registrations, or business establishments in any country outside India; (d) no warranty of fitness for use in any jurisdiction outside India is provided or implied.

4. Who can use Ujyara

In short: Adults aged 18 or older, with an Indian mobile number, who pay in Indian Rupees. One account per phone number. Match-making has additional age checks.

4.1 Adult users only

You must be 18 years of age or older to create or operate a Ujyara account. By using Ujyara, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. The full position on minors is set out in Section 10 of the Privacy Policy.

We rely in good faith on your declaration that you are 18 or older. If we have reason to believe the registered account holder (as opposed to a family member whose details have been entered for chart purposes) is in fact under 18 — for example, from inputs in personal-guidance queries — we may suspend the account pending verification by such means as are permitted under applicable law.

4.2 Indian mobile number and payment

You must hold a valid Indian mobile number (one starting with the country code +91) and an Indian-issued payment instrument. We do not currently support foreign mobile numbers, foreign-issued cards, or non-INR payments.

4.3 One account per natural person

Each natural person may operate only one Ujyara account at a time, regardless of the number of phone numbers they own. Account sharing — letting another person use your account, or operating an account on someone else's behalf without that person's consent — is not permitted.

4.4 Children's data — see Privacy Policy

Adults may use their own account to generate astrological content (such as kundalis) for any family member, including minor children. Accounts must not, however, be created by, or on behalf of, minors directly accessing the service. The full position is set out in Section 10 of the Privacy Policy.

4.5 Match Making — additional age gate

Where a user requests astrological compatibility analysis through the Match Making feature for the purpose of marriage, both subjects must meet the legal Indian marriageable age as currently in force under the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006 and any amendments thereto, applicable from time to time. Requests where either subject's date of birth indicates that they are below the applicable threshold will be rejected.

For this gate, we rely on the user's representation as to date of birth for both subjects. The user warrants that the date of birth supplied for each subject is accurate, and indemnifies Gurpraj Systems on the terms set out in Section 16 against any claim arising from a misrepresentation of date of birth made under this Section. The cap in Section 16 does not apply where the misrepresentation is wilful or made with knowledge of its falsity.

5. Your account

In short: Your account is created when you AGREE. You give us your full legal name (so we can issue tax invoices, and so numerology features can use it). When you first pay, we OTP-verify your email. There are no passwords — access is via OTP to your registered Indian mobile number.

5.1 Account creation

Your Ujyara account is created the moment you complete the AGREE flow described in Section 1.2.

5.2 Your name — full legal name and how you'd like to be addressed

You agree to provide your true legal name when registering as the primary account holder. This is required for invoice generation, dispute resolution, and meeting our obligations under Indian tax law. It is also the input used by our numerology features (Menu 5 and any future numerology-based feature), since numerology is computed from the letters of your name; a numerology reading without an accurate name would be meaningless.

For chart-based features (kundali, horoscope, muhurat, remedies, etc.), you can choose how Ujyara addresses you in greetings, in your reports, and in the personalised text our AI service provider generates for you. You may pick either:

(a) Your full legal name, exactly as you registered it; or (b) A short display name of 1 to 15 alphabetic characters — for example, a first name, a nickname, or a name in your preferred script transliterated to English.

Whichever you pick is the name used for greetings and chart-based reports, and the name shared with our AI service provider for those readings. You can change this preference at any time from the SETTINGS or HELP menu, with the change taking effect immediately for new readings. If you do not set a preference, we default to the first word of your legal name.

For numerology features specifically, your full legal name is used regardless of the display preference, because numerology requires it. Your phone number, email, and payment information are never sent to our AI service provider for any feature.

For other people whose details you enter, the data we accept depends on the feature:

  • Chart-based features (family kundali, muhurat for someone else, remedies for someone else): first name OR a short reference (up to five alphabetic characters), plus the birth details required.
  • Match Making (Menu 3): first name (or full name, if you provide it) of the partner, plus the birth details. The Match Making feature genuinely requires both names for traditional Ashtakoota Guna Milan analysis.
  • Numerology features (Menu 5): the name and date of birth of the other person, since numerology requires the name.

5.3 Email and OTP verification at first payment

When you make your first payment to Ujyara, we ask for your email address and verify it through a one-time password. Once verified, the email is linked to your account and used for: tax invoice delivery, PDF reports (when that feature ships), data exports, refund correspondence, and account-recovery messages. Subsequent payments do not require re-verification. You can update your email later through the SETTINGS or HELP menu, with re-verification.

5.4 You are responsible for your account

You are responsible for activity carried out through your Ujyara account, except where you have promptly notified us — at grievance@ujyara.com, or by using the in-app grievance channel (the /grievance command on Telegram or the GRIEVANCE keyword on WhatsApp) — that your registered mobile number has been compromised, in which case your responsibility for activity through the account ceases from the time of that notification.

Activity between the time of compromise and the time of notification is the user's responsibility, except that we will, on receiving a credible compromise report, investigate disputed transactions and reverse charges where investigation supports the user's account in our reasonable judgment. Where the compromise relates to a financial transaction for which the user seeks a refund, the time-limited notification rule in Section 3.7 of the Refund Policy also applies.

Please keep your registered mobile number secure and do not allow others to use it for OTPs. Withdrawal of consent or claims of account compromise do not entitle you to a refund of fees paid for service already performed.

5.5 No password — OTP to your Indian mobile number

Ujyara does not use passwords. Account access is granted via one-time-password verification on your registered Indian mobile number. We will never ask you for a password.

6. AI Disclosure — Ujyara is built on artificial intelligence

In short: Every reading you receive is generated by AI. There is no human astrologer reviewing any reading. AI can occasionally produce errors. Each reading is labelled as AI-generated.

6.1 Every reading is AI-generated

Ujyara uses artificial intelligence to generate personalised Vedic astrological and numerological readings based on traditional principles and your inputs. Our AI systems are prompted with classical Vedic astrological principles and generate responses accordingly. No human astrologer reviews any reading — Ujyara delivers consistent, traditional interpretation through AI assistance. While we strive for accuracy in traditional interpretation, AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors or inconsistencies. Always exercise your own judgement before acting on any guidance you receive.

6.2 No human astrologer behind the curtain

Ujyara does not employ astrologers, does not maintain a panel of consultants, and does not pass your details to any human practitioner. The service is fully AI-generated. If you wish to consult a human astrologer, please seek one independently.

6.3 AI outputs may be wrong

Factual claims in AI-generated text may occasionally be incorrect, incomplete, misleading, or out of date. This is a known limitation of all current artificial-intelligence systems. Verify any specific claim — for example, a date, a name, or a reference — before relying on it.

By using the Service, you accept that AI-generated text is provided for personal reflection, traditional spiritual guidance, and entertainment, and you assume full responsibility for verifying any factual claim before acting on it.

Outputs from Ujyara reflect the AI's generation. They are not the editorial position of any third-party AI service provider, and they are not the considered opinion of any human practitioner. To the extent that the law allocates responsibility for content delivered through Ujyara, that responsibility is allocated as set out in Sections 14 and 15 of these Terms.

6.4 The AI is not a licensed professional

The artificial intelligence behind Ujyara is not a doctor, lawyer, financial adviser, psychologist, or any other licensed professional. Its outputs do not constitute professional advice in any field, regulated or otherwise.

6.5 AI-generated label on every report

Every Ujyara report includes an AI-generated disclosure embedded in the report text, consistent with the prevailing Government of India advisory practice on labelling of AI-generated content, as in force from time to time. The disclosure is included by design in every report we generate; we cannot guarantee its persistence in user-edited copies, screenshots, or third-party reproductions.

7. Astrology safety — Ujyara's design commitments

In short: These ten design commitments shape what Ujyara is built and prompted to do. They are how we keep you safe.

These ten safety mandates apply across every Ujyara reading, in every channel, at every plan tier. They are commitments about the way we design and prompt the Service. AI outputs may, despite our best efforts, occasionally drift from these design commitments; if a reading nonetheless touches on any of these areas, you must disregard it and consult an appropriately qualified human professional:

  1. No medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Ujyara is designed and prompted not to tell you whether you have a disease, what medication to take, when to stop or change a treatment, or which surgery to undergo. Where traditional Vedic remedies (such as gemstones, mantras, or lifestyle suggestions) appear in a reading, they are offered as cultural and spiritual guidance, not as medical prescriptions. For any medical decision, consult a qualified medical practitioner.

  2. No financial or investment advice. Ujyara is designed and prompted not to tell you which stocks to buy, which mutual funds to invest in, when to enter or exit a market position, or whether a specific business decision will succeed financially. For any financial decision, consult a SEBI-registered investment adviser or a qualified chartered accountant.

  3. No legal advice. Ujyara is designed and prompted not to predict the outcome of a court case, advise on filing or defending litigation, or interpret legal documents. For any legal matter, consult a qualified advocate.

  4. No prediction of death or longevity. Ujyara is designed and prompted not to predict when you, or any other person, will die, nor to provide life-expectancy estimates. Traditional astrological calculations on this subject are not exposed to users.

  5. No guarantee of accuracy. Astrology is a traditional belief system. We make no warranty — express or implied — about the accuracy, completeness, or predictive value of any reading.

  6. As-is service. Ujyara is provided "as-is" and "as-available" (see Section 14).

  7. Traditional knowledge framing. All guidance offered through Ujyara is presented as traditional Vedic and astrological knowledge for personal reflection and spiritual growth. Ujyara is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice.

  8. No harm-causing remedies. Ujyara is designed and prompted not to suggest remedies — gemstones, rituals, lifestyle changes, dietary changes, or otherwise — that are likely to cause physical, psychological, or financial harm.

  9. Domain-specific service. Ujyara is restricted to Vedic astrology and numerology. It is not a general-purpose AI chatbot; it does not respond to topics outside its domain.

  10. No occult or supernatural claims. Ujyara does not claim to diagnose, identify, or remove black magic, curses, evil eye, possession, or any other supernatural affliction.

The Indian statutes that frame these design commitments are listed in Section 21.

8. Acceptable use, forbidden topics, and crisis topics

In short: A short list of things you agree to do, and a short list of things Ujyara will not respond to. If something serious is going on, Ujyara will give you helpline information rather than astrology.

8.1 Your responsibilities as a User

By using Ujyara, you agree:

(a) to provide accurate information during signup and usage; (b) to use the service only for its intended purpose and in compliance with applicable law; (c) that you are 18 years of age or older; (d) to take full responsibility for any decisions you make based on the service outputs; (e) to consult qualified professionals for any matter involving health, legal, financial, or psychological decisions; (f) not to attempt to circumvent service restrictions, scrape content, reverse-engineer the service, or use the service for commercial resale; (g) to maintain confidentiality of your account access (your Indian mobile number); (h) to consent to processing of your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy; (i) not to enter the contact details (phone number or email) of any other person into Ujyara; and where you enter another person's birth details and (where the feature requires it) name, to confirm that, where required by law, you have informed that person their birth details are being processed by an AI service; (j) not to use the service to seek any guidance on a forbidden topic listed in Section 8.2; (k) to verify your email address via OTP at first payment, and to keep your registered email and phone number current.

8.2 Forbidden topics — illustrative list

Topics outside the scope of Ujyara's service — including but not limited to medical, legal, financial, death, third-party predictions, political outcomes, exam-result prediction, sexual matters, criminal matters, occult or supernatural claims, and any other sensitive or harmful subjects — will not receive astrological responses.

The "including but not limited to" framing means we may add new categories where needed, without separately amending these Terms.

8.3 What happens when a forbidden topic is asked

If a query falls into a forbidden topic, the service will respond with a short refusal in a warm, non-judgmental tone, and — where appropriate — direct you to an appropriate qualified professional or resource. The service will not attempt an astrological interpretation of such a query.

8.4 Crisis topics — your safety comes first

Where the Service detects or reasonably suspects a message indicating user distress, self-harm, or crisis, Ujyara is designed to respond with appropriate helpline information and supportive language instead of an astrology output. Detection relies on AI screening and is not guaranteed to catch every such case; you must not rely on Ujyara as a crisis-detection or crisis-support service. If you or someone you know is in crisis, please contact a verified crisis helpline directly. A current list of helplines is published at ujyara.com/help and is maintained as a separate operational document so we can keep it current; the helpline numbers themselves are not part of these Terms.

We make reasonable efforts to keep the helpline list at ujyara.com/help current, including reviewing it at least once every 90 days. Users in crisis should always verify helpline numbers directly with the helpline provider before relying on them.

8.5 Prohibited uses

You agree not to use Ujyara to:

(a) carry out, promote, or facilitate any illegal activity, fraud, or harm to other persons; (b) attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise extract Ujyara's content or technology; (c) operate any automated tool, bot, or script against Ujyara, other than in the ordinary course of using the service; (d) resell or commercially exploit Ujyara reports, content, or interpretations; (e) use Ujyara outputs to train, fine-tune, or evaluate any artificial-intelligence model or system; (f) frame Ujyara content as a guaranteed cure, miracle treatment, or substitute for licensed medical, legal, or financial advice — whether to yourself or to any third party; (g) impersonate any other person, or misrepresent your identity, age, or location, in any interaction with Ujyara; (h) share account access with any other person, or operate an account on someone else's behalf without that person's knowledge and consent; (i) operate, or cause to be operated, more than one Ujyara account in breach of Section 4.3.

We also request that, by using the Service, you raise any payment dispute with us in writing at grievance@ujyara.com before initiating a chargeback through your bank, so that we have the opportunity to resolve the matter directly. Failure to contact us first does not waive any of your statutory or card-network rights, but may be a relevant factor in our investigation of the dispute.

These prohibitions reflect the rules of our underlying technology, payment, and messaging providers, and our own Acceptable Use posture. Violation may result in account suspension or termination under Section 18.

9. Subscriptions, payments, taxes, and refunds

In short: All prices include GST and are in Indian Rupees only. Paid Plans auto-renew unless cancelled. We issue a GST tax invoice for every payment. Refunds are governed by a separate Refund Policy.

9.1 Plans and pricing

Ujyara offers a Free Plan with limited access, and paid Plans — Basic, Standard, and Premium — at the prices displayed on the Platform at the time of purchase. We may also offer per-report purchases and pack credits from time to time. The current pricing matrix is published on the Platform.

9.2 GST-inclusive pricing in INR only

All prices displayed include Goods and Services Tax (GST) at the prevailing rate. All prices are in Indian Rupees. We do not accept foreign currencies.

9.3 Auto-renewal and cancellation

Paid Plans auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You may cancel your Plan at any time by sending the keyword CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION on WhatsApp, by sending the command /cancelsubscription on Telegram, by using the in-app cancellation flow on the web application or PWA when available, or by emailing grievance@ujyara.com from the email address linked to your account.

Cancellation takes effect from the next renewal cycle by default; access continues for the remainder of the current cycle, unless you have requested and been approved for a 7-day full refund or a 30-day partial refund under the Refund Policy — in those cases, access ends immediately upon refund approval, since you are not paying for the remainder of the cycle (see Refund Policy Section 3.5).

9.4 Pricing-change rules

If we change the subscription price of a Plan you are currently on, the change does not affect the cycle you have already paid for. Both increases and decreases take effect from your next renewal date. Your existing paid cycle runs to its end at the price you paid; we do not issue retrospective top-ups on increases, and we do not issue retrospective refunds on decreases. Promotional or introductory pricing remains valid only for the specific period for which it was offered, and reverts to the standard price on renewal.

9.5 Tax invoice for every paid transaction

We issue a GST-compliant tax invoice for every paid transaction, in the form prescribed by Rule 46 of the CGST Rules, 2017, sent to the email address linked to your account. The invoice includes our GSTIN (03CESPS8908D1Z4), the SAC code applicable to digital astrological-content services, the place of supply, and the breakup of CGST/SGST/IGST. On approved refunds, a GST-compliant credit note (and not a fresh tax invoice) is issued in the form prescribed by Rule 53 of the CGST Rules, 2017; the credit note will mirror the GST split (CGST/SGST or IGST) of the original tax invoice — see Refund Policy Section 9.4.

9.6 Payment failure

If an auto-renewal payment fails, paid features are immediately downgraded to Free Plan access. We attempt the payment up to two further times within a 3-day window. If still unsuccessful, the account remains on the Free Plan; no negative balance is carried, and no portion of any earlier billing cycle is reinstated.

This Section 9.6 applies to subscription billing cycles that recur within the term of an annual plan, and to monthly subscriptions. It does not apply within the paid term of an annual plan, where access continues until the end of the paid term regardless of any subsequent payment failure on a recurring instrument.

9.7 Refunds

Refunds are governed by a separate Ujyara Refund Policy, published at https://ujyara.com/legal/refund-policy , which forms part of these Terms. Please review it before making a purchase. Substantive response timelines for refund-related grievances are set out in the Refund Policy and the Privacy Policy.

10. Intellectual property

In short: Ujyara's name and brand are ours. You may use Ujyara content for yourself. You may not copy, resell, scrape, or use it to train any AI.

10.1 Use of Ujyara reports and content

All Ujyara reports, interpretations, and guidance are made available to you under a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence for your personal, non-commercial purposes only. To the extent any such output is capable of attracting intellectual-property protection under Indian law, all such rights vest in Gurpraj Systems. You may not reproduce, redistribute, resell, scrape, or use Ujyara content to train any artificial intelligence model or system.

10.2 The Ujyara name and brand

The Ujyara™ name, Ujyara logo, Gurpraj Systems name, and Gurpraj Systems logo are proprietary brand identifiers of Gurpraj Systems. Unauthorised use, reproduction, or imitation of these brand identifiers without prior written consent of Gurpraj Systems is prohibited. The word mark UJYARA has been filed with the Indian Trade Marks Registry in Class 9 (Application No. 7665587) and Class 42 (Application No. 7665585) and is currently pending registration. The ™ symbol is used pending registration; the ® symbol will be used only on grant of registration.

10.3 No use to train AI

Outputs you receive from Ujyara may not be used as training data, fine-tuning data, or evaluation data for any artificial-intelligence model or system, by you or by anyone acting on your behalf.

11. Your privacy

In short: The Privacy Policy is the authoritative source for everything about your data. Two key points worth highlighting here: how your name reaches the AI depends on the feature; some processing happens outside India.

The collection, use, retention, sharing, and protection of your personal data are governed by the Ujyara Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Please read it carefully — it explains every category of data we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, who else processes it, and the rights you have.

Two privacy points are repeated here because of their importance:

(a) Your full legal name is used by the AI service provider only where the feature requires it — primarily for numerology features, and where you have explicitly chosen to be addressed by your full legal name in chart-based features (Section 5.2 above). For chart-based features without that preference, a short display name is used. Either way, your phone number, email, and payment information are never sent to the AI service provider.

(b) Some processing of your data takes place on servers located outside India. Our use of the AI service provider is governed by its published commercial terms, which do not permit retention of your inputs and outputs beyond a short trust-and-safety review window and do not permit use of your data to train AI models. The list of subprocessors and the country of processing for each is set out in the Privacy Policy.

For all other privacy-related questions, please refer to the Privacy Policy.

12. Web application and progressive web app — specific terms

In short: The website and PWA work the same way as the messaging interface for legal purposes. A few extras: minimal cookies, no marketing tracking without consent, account access via OTP, and graceful availability.

12.1 Cookies and browser storage

When the web application launches, Ujyara will use essential cookies for authentication and session management, and may use analytical cookies for service improvement. Marketing or tracking cookies will not be used without your separate consent. A detailed Cookie Policy will be published at web app launch.

The web application and PWA may also store small amounts of non-personal data (preferences, language, session token) in your browser. Clearing your browser data will sign you out and clear local preferences.

12.2 PWA installation does not modify these Terms

Installing Ujyara as a progressive web app on your device does not modify these Terms. The PWA does not access device features beyond the standard browser permissions you grant.

12.3 Web push notifications

If you grant browser-notification permission, we may send you web push notifications for horoscope updates, transit alerts, and dasha-change alerts (per your Plan tier and notification preferences). You can revoke this permission at any time in your browser settings.

12.4 Cross-channel data continuity

Your account, reports, and subscription state are accessible across all Ujyara channels using your registered Indian phone number as the common identifier. Sessions are independent — logging out of one device does not affect others.

12.5 Web/PWA access via OTP

Account access on the web application and PWA is granted via one-time-password verification on your registered Indian mobile number. We do not use passwords on any Ujyara channel.

12.6 Web app uptime

We strive for high availability of the web application and PWA but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance windows will be communicated where reasonable.

12.7 Detailed Cookie Policy at launch

A standalone Cookie Policy will be published when the web application launches. Until then, this Section 12 is the active disclosure.

13. Service availability and changes

In short: We aim for high uptime but can't guarantee it. If we make a material change to these Terms, we'll tell you 30 days in advance and ask you to AGREE again.

13.1 Best-effort availability

We strive to keep Ujyara available continuously, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Downtime may occur due to scheduled maintenance, server issues, third-party platform outages, payment-gateway issues, internet-service interruptions, force majeure events, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. We will make reasonable efforts to restore service promptly.

13.2 Scheduled maintenance

Where maintenance is planned in advance, we will communicate it through the channels you are subscribed to.

13.3 Third-party-platform interruptions

Ujyara is delivered, in part, through third-party platforms (the messaging platform, the payment gateway, the cloud-hosting provider, and others). We are not liable for service interruptions caused by these third-party platforms. Where a service interruption is significant and prolonged, the Refund Policy describes the available remedies.

13.4 Material changes — 30-day notice and re-AGREE

Ujyara may add new features, services, or content over time. Material changes affecting how your data is processed will be notified to you in advance — typically 30 days before effect — and may require renewed consent before continued use of the changed feature. 13.5 Minor changes

For minor changes — corrections, clarifications, formatting, and changes that do not affect how your data is processed — we will notify you on the channels we have for you, and continued use will indicate your acceptance.

14. As-is service and disclaimers

In short: Ujyara is provided as-is. No warranty of accuracy.

14.1 As-is, as-available

Ujyara services are provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We make no warranties — express or implied — regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or fitness for any particular purpose of any information, interpretation, or guidance provided through the service.

14.2 No implied warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we exclude all implied warranties, conditions, and other terms — including any implied warranty of merchantability, satisfactory quality, or fitness for a particular purpose.

14.3 Outputs and editorial responsibility

Outputs from Ujyara reflect the AI's generation. They are not the editorial position of any third-party AI service provider. Liability for content delivered through Ujyara is allocated as set out in Section 15 below.

15. Limitation of liability

In short: Our liability is capped. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Your statutory consumer rights under Indian law are unaffected.

15.1 Liability cap

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Gurpraj Systems' total liability to you for any claims arising out of or relating to your use of Ujyara services shall not exceed, in aggregate, the greater of (a) ₹5,000 or (b) the total fees actually received by Gurpraj Systems from you in the three months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in this Section limits, excludes, or modifies your statutory rights under Section 15.3.

15.2 No consequential damages

In no event shall Gurpraj Systems be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, loss of business opportunity, or any other intangible losses — arising out of or related to your use of Ujyara services, even if Gurpraj Systems has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

15.3 Statutory consumer rights preserved

Nothing in this Section 15 limits, excludes, or modifies the statutory rights you have as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or any other Indian law that cannot be excluded by contract.

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Gurpraj Systems against third-party claims directly arising from (a) your wilful violation of these Terms, (b) your unlawful use of the Service, or (c) your submission of another person's personal data to the Service in breach of Section 8.1(i). Gurpraj Systems will (i) promptly notify you of any such claim, (ii) allow you to participate in the defence, and (iii) not settle without your prior written consent (not to be unreasonably withheld). Your liability under this Section is capped at ₹50,000.

17. Force majeure

Gurpraj Systems shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms where such failure or delay results from causes beyond our reasonable control — including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, epidemic or pandemic, war, terrorism, riots, civil unrest, government or regulatory action, court order, embargo, sanctions, third-party platform outages, internet service interruptions, telecom outages, payment gateway failures, distributed denial-of-service attacks, ransomware, or other similar events.

18. Account suspension and termination

In short: We may suspend or terminate your account in specific situations listed below. You may close your account anytime.

18.1 Grounds for suspension or termination

Gurpraj Systems may suspend or terminate your access to Ujyara services for any of the following reasons:

(a) Violation of these Terms or the Acceptable Use list; (b) A pattern of payment disputes initiated in bad faith or that materially prejudice the service; (c) Sharing of account access with other persons; (d) Attempts to reverse-engineer, scrape, or commercially exploit Ujyara content; (e) Submitting another person's birth details without their knowledge; (f) Impersonation or misrepresentation of identity; (g) Repeated failed payments after grace period and retry attempts; (h) Court order or law enforcement requirement.

18.2 You may terminate at any time

You may terminate your account at any time by writing to grievance@ujyara.com, by using the in-app grievance channel (/grievance on Telegram, GRIEVANCE keyword on WhatsApp), or by following the in-app termination flow when available.

18.3 Effect of termination on your data

After termination, your data follows the deletion timelines set out in Section 6 of the Privacy Policy. Some data — most notably payment records under the Goods and Services Tax Act — must be retained for a defined period after termination, as explained there. A minimal anti-abuse record (a salted, one-way hash of your registered phone number paired with a count of free first-ever offerings used) is retained as personal data with a minimised footprint for up to 3 years after termination, as described in Privacy Policy Section 6.4.

18.4 Effect of termination on fees already paid

Where Gurpraj Systems terminates an account under Sections 18.1(a) to 18.1(g), no refund of fees already paid is due, save where the user demonstrates, through our internal grievance process, that the termination was in error, in which case unused subscription fees will be refunded pro-rata. Where Gurpraj Systems terminates an account under Section 18.1(h) without fault on your part (court order or law-enforcement requirement), pro-rata refund of unused subscription fees may be issued at our discretion.

19. Notices

20. Dispute resolution and governing law

In short: Talk to us first. If we cannot resolve it within 30 days, the dispute goes to courts in SAS Nagar (Mohali), Punjab. Indian law applies. Statutory consumer rights are unaffected.

20.1 Talk to us first

Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be resolved through good-faith discussion between the parties.

20.2 Jurisdiction

Subject to the consumer's statutory right under Section 11(2) of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 to approach a Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission having jurisdiction at the consumer's place of residence or work, the parties otherwise submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the competent civil courts at SAS Nagar (Mohali), Punjab, India.

20.3 Governing law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.

20.4 NRI users

Users accessing the service from outside India explicitly consent to the position stated in Section 20.2 and acknowledge that:

(a) Gurpraj Systems holds no business registration or licences in any country outside India; (b) any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms must be raised within India — that is, before either the competent civil courts at SAS Nagar (Mohali), Punjab, India, or the appropriate Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission having jurisdiction at the user's last Indian place of residence or work, as the case may be; (c) Gurpraj Systems will not submit to the jurisdiction of, or accept service of process from, any court or tribunal outside India in respect of these Terms or your use of Ujyara.

20.5 Statutory consumer-protection rights preserved

Nothing in this Section 20 limits your right to pursue remedies under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 — including filing a complaint before the appropriate Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission — for any matter falling within that Act's scope.
